THERE are two A417 road closures motorists need to be aware of in the Cirencester area over the next few weeks.
One of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A417, from 8pm on Thursday, August 10 to 9am on Saturday, August 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A417 southbound, from Air Balloon Roundabout to Burford Road, junction carriageway closure.
• A417, from 7pm on Saturday, August 12 to 10am on Sunday, August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A417 northbound, Burford Road to Quarry, junction carriageway closure.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
